Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I ship cartridges from anywhere in the world through this program?
A. This program is only available throughout the contiguous United States.

Q. Which cartridges are purchased by the ERS Easy Parcel Ship Program?
A. Please see the Buyback List for a full listing of inkjet and laser cartridges that are currently being purchased through this program. This list is updated according to the current market so make sure to check the list before sending a shipment. In addition, you will only receive payment for cartridges that do not arrive damaged and have not been previously remanufactured.

Q. Can any business or dealer use the ERS Easy Parcel Ship Program?
A. All businesses and dealers are welcome to utilize the ERS Easy Parcel Ship Program provided that they follow the rules for shipping empties with the prepaid shipping labels.

Q. How often are shipments accepted?
A. This is an ongoing program for collecting used printer cartridges. There are no deadlines for shipping empties. The prepaid shipping labels do not expire so you can send one shipment a day or one shipment a year. It’s completely up to you.

Q. How can I qualify for free shipping?
A. The ERS Easy Parcel Ship Program provides FREE prepaid UPS shipping labels to all registered suppliers when the posted shipping requirements are met. In order to qualify for free shipping you must make sure to follow these requirements which include the 20-20 Rule: You must send at least 20 pounds of mixed product (inkjets and lasers) that appear on the Buyback List or 20 units of one product type which appear on the Buyback List to qualify for free shipping. If the requirements are not met, the cost of shipping may be deducted from the value of your shipment.

Q. Is there a charge for sending cartridges that are not on the Buyback List?
A. You may be charged the cost of shipping a box of cartridges or cell phones if the shipment does not meet the requirements of the 20-20 Rule. Additionally, ERS reserves the right to charge a $1 per-unit fee for cartridges received that do not appear on the Buyback List.

Q. Are bulk shipments accepted through this program?
A. An LTL pickup can be arranged at no charge to you for shipments containing at least 100 laser cartridges that are posted on the Buyback List. Please contact the customer service department toll free at 1.800.842.9923 to arrange a pickup.

Q. How will I know when my shipment arrives at the ERS?
A. All shipments received at ERS are scanned at the door. Then the contents of each box are inspected and the results are recorded in your online account. Once this happens, you will see these results posted in the “shipment history” section of your online account.
